Young Thug’s Attorney Claims Rapper ‘Had Nothing To Do’ w/ In-Court Drug Exchange: He Did Not Know [VIDEO]

Unfortunate updates to Young Thug’s ongoing legal troubles.

According to new reports, On Thursday afternoon (Jan. 19) Young Thug and his co-defendant Kahlieff Adams were caught conducting a hand-to-hand drug exchange inside the courtroom during jury selection. Reportedly, Judge Ural Glanville has had to pause jury selection three times over drugs, arrests, and a health scare.

The video footage seemingly shows Kahlieff Adams approaching Young Thug, real name  Jeffrey Williams, to “shake his hand” and using the moment to hand off contraband to the rapper. However, a court officer spotted the transaction and confiscated the drug, which was later determined to be a Percocet pill.

Following the crazy incident, one of Thug’s attorneys, Keith Adams, claimed his client had nothing to do with the alleged transaction. Keith Adams stated:

“The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday. One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy.”

 Keith Adams continued:

“He did not know. We don’t know what it is, did not know. It was turned over to a deputy right away. The deputies took action, the individual who had the contraband, not Mr. Williams, was taken into the back. Where I’m told he ingested whatever he had. He had to be taken to the hospital and as a result court was terminated for the rest of the day.”

According to reports, deputies discovered Percocet, marijuana, tobacco, and other contraband wrapped in plastic and food seasoning on Kahlieff Adams.

Kahlieff Adams is now facing additional charges including – possession of schedule II controlled substance, willful obstruction of law enforcement misdemeanor, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of alcoholic beverage by an inmate, and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers misdemeanor.
