Actor Hugh Grant Criticized For ‘Rude’ Oscars Red Carpet Interview w/ Ashley Graham
Hugh Grant should’ve been awarded an Oscar for “most awkward red carpet interview.”
On Sunday (Mar. 12) Hugh Grant didn’t seem pleased with model Ashley Graham’s line of questioning on the red carpet amid ABC’s Academy Awards pre-show. Reportedly, before the model could ask her first question, Hugh Grant, 62, appeared to already be unimpressed. He was captured rolling his eyes and shrugging his shoulders at Ashley Graham, who labeled him to be a veteran of the Academy Awards. Unfortunately, things only got more awkward from there. At one point during the interveiw, Ashley Graham, 35, asked,
“Are you excited to see anybody win? Do you have your hopes up for anyone?”
However, Hugh Grant didn’t feed much into the question and replied,
“No one in particular.”
Changing the subject, Ashley Graham asked:
“Okay. Well, what are you wearing tonight then?”
Grant said:
“Just my suit.”

Trying to make light of the conversation, Graham, 35, joked:
“Your suit? Who made your suit? You didn’t make it.”
The London native replied:
“I can’t remember. My tailor.”
Graham continued:
“What does it feel like to be in ‘Glass Onion?’ It was such an amazing film. I love a thriller. How fun is it to shoot something like that?”
Grant claimed:
“Well I’m barely in it. I’m in it for about three seconds.”
She asked:
“Yeah but still you showed up and had fun right?”
He seemingly disagreed:
“Almost.”

Following the interesting exchange between the two stars, many people wasted no time taking to Twitter to share their take on the now-viral moment. Some Twitter users defended Grant, claiming that he’s always been uncomfortable when being interviewed. While others claimed that Graham was treated rudely by Grant for no reason.
