Rubi Rose Changes Sexually Suggestive Social Media Profile Picture Following Backlash Over ‘Ready For Ramadan’ Tweet

Rubi Rose Benton is typically not one to let social media users get under her skin, but it seems at least one person on Twitter struck a nerve.

The “Wifey” rapper recently expressed that she is “ready for Ramadan,” which occurs from March 22 through April 20 and is observed by Muslims globally as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.

Given the rapper’s appearance, it appears that social media found the post offensive. Someone referred to Rubi Rose‘s Twitter profile photo, which showed her bent over and covering her exposed private area with her hand. The Twitter user said,

“U bent over covering ya poom poom in ya profile pic , talm bout ready for Ramadan.”

Rubi Rose apparently took the comment to heart, because she changed her photo to only display the color red.

She shared a picture of herself wearing a red hijab, a traditional outfit worn by Muslim women, in a subsequent post.

Though most comments on the image were positive, many others urged her to remove her risqué Instagram photos, which she hasn’t done. As a matter of fact, it appears she has no plans to alter her Instagram, considering her claim that,

“Twitter & Ig really two different places lol”

Rubi has been the topic of social media discussions quite a bit over the last few weeks, from being photographed while allegedly on a date with her rumored rapper boo French Montana to arguing with her ex-boyfriend Pontiac DDG and receiving criticism for seemingly dissing his new girlfriend, Halle Bailey.
