Update: Tekashi 6ix9ine Has No Plans To Hire More Security Or Move To A New Location, Despite Being Ambushed At Gym + Footage Right Before Attack Surfaces Online [VIDEO]

Update #2: (Mar. 24, 2023): Tekashi 6ix9ine isn’t letting a little (big) gym scuffle keep him from going out in public.

6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, has been making headlines this entire week after footage was shared online Tuesday night (Mar. 21) of the New York native being jumped while at his local Florida gym. It’s still unclear why exactly the incident took place, however, many assume the motive of the attackers was attached to the rapper’s “snitch” reputation.

Despite being left with a bloody face, bruises, fractured ribs, and a blood clot in his eye, it appears 6ix9ine has no plans to leave Florida or hire more security for protection. According to reports, the 26-year-old is not going to allow “one incident” to alter his lifestyle. An insider close to the matter has shared,

“He’s actually been going out in public without his hired muscle pretty regularly over the last year — without issue.”

“…he’s not about to let one incident change the way he lives. He wants to continue to live as normal a life as possible … and is chalking up the gym beatdown as an outlier.”

Video footage that was taken moments before the attack seems to confirm reports that 6ix9ine is aiming to have a “normal” life. A gymgoer recently shared a short TikTok clip of the rapper on the stair climber machine moments before he was beaten in the sauna. They captioned their post,

“Saw 6ix9ine right before he got jumped.”

Update #1: (Mar. 23, 2023): More details have surfaced surrounding the brutal attack rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine experienced on Tuesday (Mar. 21).

It seems like Tekashi 6ix9ine has a few guardian angels watching over him. According to reports, the ambush he faced while inside the sauna at his local gym could have been more severe if not for the gym’s staff. Employees of the establishment reportedly hid the rapper in a room until authorities arrived following the attack.

It’s still unclear why exactly the incident took place, however, it’s been reported that 6ix9ine was a regular at the gym. Insiders claim that up until his latest beat down, he’s never had an issue visiting the facility before.

The rapper still has not personally addressed what occurred. However, his lawyer did call the men who attacked him “thugs.” He added that 6ix9ine “tried fighting back” but was ultimately left with “cuts to his face (blood clot in eye) and bruises (fractured ribs).”

Original story: (Mar. 22, 2023): Tekashi 6ix9ine has yet to personally speak out following an attack at his gym.

A now-viral video hit social media on Tuesday night (Mar. 21) of the Brooklyn drill rapper being severely attacked in a South Florida branch of L.A. Fitness. 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, was reportedly in the sauna of the gym chain when he was ambushed by men who “caught him slipping.”

In the footage, 6ix9ine is seen on the floor, protecting his face, seemingly using his leg to cover his body while being kicked and punched by the unnamed men.

According to the 26-year-old’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, the “Gummo” rapper suffered fractured ribs, a blood clot in his eye, and scratches to his face. Reportedly, Lazzaro shared:

“He was attacked in a sauna at a gym by several thugs who beat him up”

He also mentioned that despite the intensity of the attack, the rapper “tried fighting back.”

Lazzaro then added:

“He had cuts to his face (blood clot in eye) and bruises (fractured ribs). Employees heard the disturbance and the perpetrators fled. Police in South Florida were called and he was transported via ambulance to a local hospital.”

Some seem to think that this attack could be 6ix9ine’s karma. Last September, he went viral for beating up a DJ who refused to play his music due to his “snitch” reputation. As previously reported, the DJ said:

“We don’t like snitches….No way am I playing a snitch’s song.”

In the footage, the musician approached the DJ before pushing him down and striking him numerous times.

You may recall that 6ix9ine received his “snitch” reputation for allegedly cooperating with authorities and telling on his gang associates.

As previously reported, the rainbow-colored hair artist and associates were arrested in November 2018 and were charged with federal RICO and firearm charges, including conspiracy to murder and armed robbery.

The “Gotti” rapper ultimately pleaded guilty to nine charges in February 2019 and faced up to 47 years behind bars. However, to avoid that lengthy sentence, he took a plea deal in exchange for his testimony against his fellow gang members.

6ix9ine reportedly cooperated with authorities and was granted a two-year sentence, which he already served after spending 13 months incarcerated, for going against the Nine Trey Gang.
