Tamron Hall Responds To Larsa Pippen Calling Her Interview “Negative”: ‘My Job Is To Not Waste The Time Of The People Watching At Home’

Larsa Pippen was not a fan of being interviewed by Tamron Hall.

The former basketball wife recently called out the daytime talk show host for being “negative” during their conversation back in February. Tamron Hall, however, says she was simply doing her job.

If you recall, when Larsa Pippen, 48, visited The Tamron Hall Show the women intensely discussed Pippen’s current romance with Marcus Jordan, the 32-year-old son of NBA icon Michael Jordan. While the 16 year age gap was a short portion of Hall’s questioning, things truly got tense when the TV host asked Larsa to explain why she’d date someone with whom her ex husband is negatively associated with.

In case you aren’t familiar, Larsa’s ex husband Scottie Pippen, who she was married to from 1997-2021, is the former team mate of Michael Jordan. The basketball legends played for the Chicago Bulls and won several championships together. However, both have been honest about their estranged relationship. When answering the question, the reality TV star stated she was “in love” with Marcus and can’t help her ex’s feelings, stating:

“I can’t basically explain how someone else feels. That’s how Scottie feels; he has a right to the way he feels…I personally don’t really care about what other people — I live my trut`

A subsequent Tik Tok clip from the talk showed that elsewhere in the interview, Tamron explained to the audience that Larsa expressed she felt the host was being “negative” while on a commercial break. Hall appeared on a talk show recently where she discussed the moment, stating:

“We’re all entitled to feel the way we feel. But the reality — and how I approach every interview — I want people to know that they’re in a safe space. I want them to know that this is an authentic conversation, and my job is to not waste the time of the people watching at home.”

Adding:

“I don’t want you at home to do my job. You’re already giving me your time. So for me, it’s always a respectful environment. I don’t benefit from an ambush interview.”

Hall went on to explain that guests know the topics before the come on the show, but not exact questions to save the integrity of the interview. Following Tamron’s thoughts, Larsa had one more thing to add, writing in the comments section of a social media post reporting on the situation:

“She was very negative and judgmental. Her tone and facial expressions indicated she never wanted to have a fair conversation. If she Wants to audition for housewives I know somebody”
