Tiger Woods Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Ex-Girlfriend

Tiger Woods is being accused of sexual harassment by his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman.

According to court documents filed Friday (May 5), Tiger Woods, 47, is being accused of pursuing a sexual relationship with Herman, 38, when she was working at his Florida restaurant, and then allegedly forced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to keep her job. 

Erica Herman‘s attorney, Benjamin Hodas, wrote in the filing:

“Tiger Woods, the internationally renowned athlete and one of the most powerful figures in global sports, decided to pursue a sexual relationship with his employee, then – according to him – forced her to sign an NDA about it or else be fired from her job.”

“When he became disgruntled with their sexual relationship, he tricked her into leaving her home, locked her out, took her cash, pets, and personal possessions, and tried to strong-arm her into signing a different NDA.”

“Now, he wants to deny her access to the courts and put this case into secret arbitration, based on a highly redacted document that he claims is a contract between them.”

The documents also described a “scheme” in which Herman claims Woods tricked her into leaving his home by telling her to pack for a weekend trip to the Bahamas. Upon arrival at the airport, Woods’ lawyer met her and allegedly informed her that she was locked out of the house and would not see Woods again.

The filing reads,

“While still in the hangar, ‘Ray Donovan (a fictional character) with a pen’ proceeded to insult Ms. Herman, (advised) her she had no legal rights, and (tried) to force her to agree to a (different) non-disclosure and arbitration agreement.”

Herman’s attorneys wrote in the court filing:

“A boss imposing different work conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship is sexual harassment.”

According to reports, billionaire golfer Tiger Woods slammed Erica Herman, after she argued in court filings that the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) she signed in 2017 should be tossed out due to allegations of sexual abuse. According to Herman, the federal Speak Out Act — which cancels out an NDA if a dispute involving sexual assault or sexual harassment arises following the initial agreement — should make the contract invalid.

According to reports, Tiger Woods says Erica Herman has no right to invoke the federal statute because she hasn’t previously alleged abuse or offered up any proof of such claims in her filings.

In addition, Woods reportedly notes that in the $30 million lawsuit Herman filed, — where she alleged the golf star kicked her out of their home and broke an “oral tenancy agreement” they had — she checked the box for “NO” when asked, “does this case involve allegations of sexual abuse.”

According to Woods, Herman is trying to use the federal law as a way to get around a clause in their NDA, which calls for any legal disputes between the pair to be settled in private and not in court.

As previously reported, Herman — who dated Woods for six years — is suing the athlete’s trust for $30 million, alleging he wrongfully evicted her out of his Hobe Sound, Florida home. Before breaking up last fall, the former couple lived together in the Florida residence throughout most of the time they were together. According to Herman, she conducted “valuable services” for Woods in exchange for living in the home rent-free.
