Update: XXXTentacion — Final Defendant Involved In Rapper’s Murder Sentenced

Update: (May 17, 2023): All the men involved in the tragic murder of rapper XXXTentacion have officially been sentenced.

According to reports, Robert Allen — one of the defendants responsible for XXXTentacion’s death — was sentenced today (May 17) to seven years in prison with credit for time served. As previously reported, Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder and testified against the others involved.

Reportedly, he was also able to offer information on another cold case the Broward Sheriff’s Office had been working to solve for years.

Allen has been incarcerated since XXXTentacion’s death in 2018 and has already served five years of his seven-year sentence. He has two more years left to serve and then he will be on probation for 20 years.

The other men who played a role in killing the “Revenge” rapper — Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, — were all given life sentences last month.

Allen reportedly apologized to the family of XXXTentacion for his actions and said,

“To say I’m sorry does not even begin the true inner remorse I want to make known. I know that these words that I will speak will never erase the pain and sorrow and loss of what the family will have from now on. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about what happened and beg for forgiveness from God.”

At the time of this report, XXXTentacion’s mother — Cleopatra Bernard — hasn’t spoken on the final defendant’s sentencing. However, her IG account is filled with images and content dedicated to her late son. In February, she penned an emotional letter to XXXTentacion — born Jahseh Onfroy — and said,

“Happy Birthday Jah, another year without you here physically, however you will always live in our hearts and memories. Your amazing fans have continued to support you, and keep your legacy thriving. We are eternally grateful for them and the times we’ve shared. Here’s to continuing to have you touch millions of hearts around the world LLJ!”

Original story: (Apr. 6, 2023): The fate of XXXTentacion’s convicted killers has been decided.

According to reports, the men found guilty of fatally shooting the rap star were recently sentenced to life in jail.

As we previously reported, Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were handed a guilty verdict on the charge of first-degree murder last month. The men were arrested at various times in connection to the 2018 shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion who was 20 at the time of death. Another suspect named Robert Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder and testified against the others involved. He is reportedly still awaiting sentencing.

XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed while leaving a motorsports store in South Florida. The killers were reportedly looking to rob the musician and made off with a Louis Vuitton bag and $50,000 in cash. Prosecutors say the assailants were tied to the murder based on video footage taken from the store. Allegedly, the men were also seen in cell phone video they recorded, flashing hundred dollar bills shortly after the killing took place.

Reportedly, the jury took 8 days to deliberate. At this time, it doesn’t seem any of the guilty parties’ reps have commented publicly on the sentencing.
