Sean Paul Seemingly Unbothered By Lil Yachty Making It ‘Very Clear’ That He Hates The Dancehall Star
It’s business as usual for Sean Paul, despite Lil Yachty recently letting the world know he doesn’t like the Jamaican artist.
On Wednesday (June 28), Lil Yachty debuted the first episode of his new podcast, “A Safe Space,” alongside co-host MitchGoneMad. The episode centered around artists who have seemingly “fallen off.”
Things on the podcast took an interesting turn after Lil Yachty’s co-host mentioned how artists like Sean Paul and Shaggy are no longer popular like they used to be. That is when the Atlanta rapper shared his honest opinion.
Yachty responded,
“Nobody ever said Sean Paul fell off. They just stopped making music. I don’t think they’re still dropping music.”
He continued,
“By the way, f*ck Sean Paul. I want to make that very clear, I don’t f*ck with Sean Paul. Sean Paul once dissed me in a radio interview.”

Lil Yachty
Despite what Lil Yachty had to say, Sean Paul appears to be unbothered by the comments. The “Get Busy” rapper has yet to address the harsh remarks. Instead, he’s been using his free time to promote his tour.

Yachty’s remarks stem from a 2016 interview that Sean Paul did on The Breakfast Club. During the interview, Paul criticized younger artists and their lack of knowledge when it comes to the OG’s of the rap game. His chat on the radio show came shortly after Yachty confessed that he could not name five songs by the Notorious B.I.G. or Tupac.
Sean Paul said,
“If it was really about talent in the hip hop industry, you wouldn’t have some of these younger cats talking that….The Lil Yachty dem. The boat boy. I mean, I don’t know much of the dude’s music either. I don’t like his comments.”
He continued,
“Those are artists I revere. I understand that probably kids don’t care about writing right now. I understand they don’t know where hip hop started.”
