Tupac Shakur, also known by his stage name 2Pac, is widely considered one of the most influential and successful artists of all time. Prior to his untimely passing, the “All Eyez on Me” hitmaker became a best-selling musical artist, reportedly selling more than 75 million records worldwide.

Tragically, on September 7, 1996, Shakur was killed after being shot four times by an unidentified gunman in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. He reportedly died six days later at the age of 25. His murder has yet to be resolved.

As previously reported, Shakur received a posthumous star on the illustrious Hollywood Walk of Fame last month. The historic event was hosted by radio giant Big Boy while Shakur’s sister, Sekyiwa (also known as Set), accepted the monumental honor on her late brother’s behalf.

When speaking of the Harlem native’s achievement, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement,

“Tupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary. This iconic artist has continued to be a part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come. Surely, as one of L.A.’s own, Tupac’s star will be added to the list of most visited stars [on the Walk of Fame].”
