Update: Chris Brown’s Ex-Housekeeper Ordered To Undergo 8-Hour Mental Exam After Claiming She Experienced Emotional Distress Watching His Dog Viciously Attack Her Sister

Update: (Jul. 25, 2023): Chris Brown has scored a small victory in his legal battle against his former housekeeper.

According to a report from RadarOnline, a judge has approved his request for his ex-housekeeper, Patricia Avila, to undergo a mental examination, which is expected to take around 8 hours. You may recall that Avila claimed she suffered severe emotional distress after allegedly witnessing her sister — who was also hired by Brown to clean his property — be viciously attacked by the singer’s dog.

Avila reportedly has 30 days to complete the evaluation. A medical professional will perform several tests, including a clinical interview, to determine her mental state.

Avila’s sister filed her own lawsuit under the pseudonym Jane Doe, claiming Brown’s dog  “savagely” tore off parts of her face and arms. However, the “Forever” singer has denied any wrongdoings and said Doe provoked the dog, causing the animal to attack.

Original story: (Jul. 17, 2023): Chris Brown is ready to clean up this mess… once and for all!

As previously reported, in 2021, celebrated crooner Chris Brown was sued after one of his dogs allegedly attacked a former housekeeper.

Now, according to RadarOnline, he’s asking a California judge to require a mandatory mental examination for the woman named Patricia Avila, which could take about 8 hours.

If you didn’t know, Patricia Avila and her sister were hired by Chris Brown to maintain his home weekly under the guise that his pets would remain on another part of the property while they completed their shifts.

However, Patricia Avila claimed that (upon going into the backyard to empty a vacuum) Chris Brown’s Caucasian Shepherd Ovcharka hopped on top of her sibling, “ripped 3-4 inches of skin” off of the lady’s arm, and bit into other areas of her body as well.

Due to the vicious occurrence, Avila’s co-worker (aka family member) was said to have gone through a couple of surgeries, and Avila feared that the victim’s injuries would result in death. In addition to that, Avila (herself) expressed that the horrific event even brought on severe panic attacks from watching the animal strike her sister.

She ultimately filed a lawsuit for damages due to emotional distress, as did her sister… who’s seeking $71 million from Brown under the protective alias ‘”Jane Doe.”

The ‘Breezy’ phenomenon denied any wrongdoing and accused the ladies of “provoking” the Ovcharka when they supposedly “mistreated” the animal.

His lawyer wrote in a statement,

“[Doe] invited the injuries now complained of and assumed the risk of them with full knowledge of the magnitude of that risk, in that she knew her foregoing conduct might cause the dog to attack her, and seriously injure her, both of which event are alleged to have occurred.”

Earlier this month, Jane Doe documented in court proceedings that Brown and his security “destroyed evidence and fled the scene” after the incident took place.

The illustrious entertainer currently wants the case to be dismissed. His September trial has been rescheduled to December.
