While exclusively talking with theJasmineBrand, Gigi opened up about what it was like to be a dancer at one of the most known strip clubs in the world. She said,

“Magic City changed my life…I’m forever grateful for the experience I had as an entertainer and even though it’s been well over a decade since I danced there, I will forever be a part of the Magic City family.”

She continued,

“The magic in Magic City is the love you’re embraced with from the moment you walk in the door of the almost four decades-long Black family-owned establishment.”

According to reports, “Magic City: An American Fantasy” is a three-part series that centers around Magic City and the great influence the club has had on the hip-hop community. The project is directed by Charles Todd and produced by Scheme Engine, a BIPOC-owned studio. Other notable names attached to the series are Drake – via his media company, DreamCrew Entertainment – Adel “Future” Nur, Peter Nelson, and Jermaine Dupri.

An excerpt about the series from Deadline notes,

“Magic City: An American Fantasy charts the rise and pitfalls of the Atlanta strip club and its sustained imprint on hip-hop culture, as told by employees, dancers, journalists, management, and countless celebrity interviews including 2 Chainz, Nelly, Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike, Big Boi and others.”

Executive Producer Jermaine Dupri recently spoke on the docuseries and said,

“Magic City is a second home for me. It’s the one place where celebrities, hustlers, politicians, and Atlanta locals all come together. I’ve watched it evolve over the years from a local joint to an internationally-recognized spot. It’s about time we tell this story the right way.”

While fans wait for the release of Gigi’s latest project, they can learn a little more about her work as a dancer on the reality TV series “Beyond The Pole,” which gives insight into the true lives of former exotic dancers.
