Cardi B – Microphone Rapper Threw At Concertgoer Who Tossed Drink In Her Face Up For Auction, Proceeds Will Go Toward Charity

Looks like some good might come out of Cardi B’s microphone debacle.

As previously reported, during Cardi B’s latest performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, a concertgoer learned very quickly that the “Up” rapper is not somebody to play with. While on stage rapping along to her hit song “Bodak Yellow” a woman in the crowd splashed Cardi B with her drink. The 30-year-old entertainer appeared to be shocked for a few seconds then threw her mic directly at the woman. A different angle of the incident showed the drink thrower giving out a few apologies to Cardi B after being hit by the mic. She was then removed from the crowd.

According to new reports, the mic belongs to an audio production company called The Wave in Sin City, and the owner has found a way to turn a crazy situation into some good. Scott Fisher – owner of The Wave – is auctioning the audio device off on eBay. Fisher’s starting bid for the mic – which originally cost $1,000 – was listed at $500. Since the start of the auction, the highest bid has reportedly grown to over $80,000.

Fisher will split the proceeds from the final winning amount between two charities – the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas. Cardi B has yet to directly speak on mic-gate, probably because it’s now a legal issue as she’s since been listed as a suspect for battery.

Following the incident, someone from the concert went to Las Vegas Metro PD and filed a report about what occurred. At this time, it’s unclear if the complaint came from the woman who tossed the drink or the bystander who was accidentally hit when the mic bounced off the drink thrower.
