Usher Set To Headline 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show In Las Vegas!

Great news for Usher fans!

Earlier today (September 24th), the NFL announced in a hilarious commercial that the “Yeah” singer will be taking center stage performing his catalog of hits at their 58th annual half time show.

In a  commercial starring known Usher fan Kim Kardashian, the billionaire shared the news with the singer in a parody of his music video from his 2004 hit “Confessions Part 2”. Usher, born Usher Raymond, 44, will headline the Super Bowl performance on February 11th, 2024 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking about the coming concert, the Grammy award winner reportedly stated:

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,”

Adding:

“Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Hip hop icon Jay Z, who’s Roc Nation company partnered with Apple Music to ink the deal bringing Usher on, also released a statement, writing:

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul…His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”

Next year’s show will mark the fifth consecutive years Jay Z‘s Roc Nation has partnered with the NFL to diversity the coveted sports performance. Since taking over as a lead producer of the show back in 2019, the musician has brought on notable artists such as The Weekend, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, as well as Dr. Dre featuring a slew of music greats including Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Bilge, and 50 Cent. Last year, the partnership produced the most watched halftime show of all time, tapping superstar singer Rihanna to perform as she simultaneously announced her second pregnancy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

Now, Usher too will join a long list of performers who can say they’ve performed on one of the most viewed platforms for singers in the world, and it’s certainly about time. The decorated musician has been selling out shows for decades, first launching to fame with his self titled debut album back in 1994. Most recently, the singer has been selling out Vegas Residency shows night after night, which is reportedly set to end in December right before the big performance.

Since then, Usher has reportedly sold over 80 million records worldwide. The singer has garnered several Grammy awards, 18 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 with nine of them being #1’s with songs with singles such as “U Got It Bad,” “Yeah!” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, “O.M.G.” featuring Will.I.Am, and “My Boo” featuring Alicia Keys. This will be the second time Usher has appeared on the Super Bowl stage as the artist was a guest for the Black Eyed Peas’ 2011 show.

Additionally, Usher also has managed to have four of his eight albums go #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. At this time there has been no word as far as if we can expect any musical guests alongside the singer. Fans, however, are clearly looking forward to the iconic performance.
