Pete Davidson Allegedly Not Taking Battle w/ Drugs & Mental Health Seriously, Insider Claims: ‘He Could Wind Up Killing Himself’

Pete Davidson’s inner circle is currently fearing the outcome of his sanity and sobriety struggles.

Things for Pete Davidson (allegedly) haven’t been going as planned since he departed rehab not too long ago.

Pete Davidson

Earlier this year, it was reported that Pete Davidson checked into a Pennsylvania facility to aid with his borderline personality/post-traumatic stress disorders.

If you didn’t know, before his admission into the establishment in June, the 29-year-old underwent other rehab stints that a friend of his allegedly referred to as Davidson’s way to decompress from his everyday life.

Over the years, Davidson has been notoriously known for battling substance abuse and mental health issues. As a teen, the New York City native was diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel condition, Crohn’s disease, which he’s said to have (seemingly) used medical marijuana for treatment and recreational purposes. In 2020, he confessed to suffering from severe depression and suicidal thoughts.

According to a source, Davidson has surrounded himself with the wrong crowd lately, and his loved ones are afraid that it may contribute to his downfall and knock him off of his road to total healing.

They shared,

“His buddies, these friends he has around him, they are enabling him, and they aren’t being honest with him. He came out of rehab and he immediately started talking about how he had taken ketamine to treat his depression and these people who are always around him didn’t think that was a big deal.”

Toward the beginning of this month, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ phenomenon comically gloated about taking dissociative anesthetic ketamine for four years straight. Apparently, Davidson was (supposedly) heard ranting about smoking weed and partaking in mushrooms and acid recently, too.

The insider continued:

“Here is the thing, I don’t think he is mature enough to face reality and face the music. If he doesn’t start taking his issues seriously, he could wind up killing himself from drugs.”

They furthered,

“At the end of the day, I feel bad for him. The drug situation is his own issue, and I don’t think he understands it all comes crashing down.”

However, while concern may be at the top of the list for some, Davidson’s rep has debunked all claims, and another individual close to the matter expressed that most aren’t too worried about him at all.

The person explained:

“[Pete] just stays in his room and watches TV. He just doesn’t do a lot these days. He does stand-up gigs and immediately goes back to his room for the night.”

Despite Davidson’s mess-ups, one of the sources did stress that he’s a “good guy,” but he’s just too caught up in the unrealistic side of things to realize what “he’s dealing with.”

It’s been a wild year for the controversial actor/comedian. A few months back, he was at the center of social mayhem when he left an angry voicemail for PETA’s senior vice president after she criticized his “tragic” decision to purchase a puppy for his family.

Additionally, he was charged with reckless driving after crashing a vehicle into a Beverly Hills home, which (ultimately) required him to do 50 hours of community service, 12 hours of traffic school, and pay some educational visits to the morgue.

Prayers for Pete.
