Pete Davidson Involved In Second Car Accident This Year Amid Claims Friends Are Concerned About His Drug Use & Mental Health
Pete Davidson reportedly damaged his SUV over the weekend.
According to reports, the incident took place as the actor/comedian was leaving a stand-up comedy show in Los Angeles. It’s reported that eyewitnesses saw the 29-year-old swipe his car “against the side of a wall while exiting the venue,” leaving the vehicle with massive white scrapes on the right-hand side. One bystander said things went left after Pete Davidson cut a corner too close. The SUV reportedly also held one man in the passenger seat and three others in the back.
Initially, individuals at the scene allegedly didn’t know it was Pete Davidson behind the wheel of the black GMC. However, once they realized the “Saturday Night Live” alum was responsible for the hit someone reportedly yelled,
“Oh sh*t, that was Pete!”
Pete Davidson’s latest car accident comes amid reports that his good friends are concerned about his struggle with sobriety. As previously reported, a source allegedly close to the entertainer said that Davidson has surrounded himself with a crowd that enables him and is not being honest with him. In addition, the source said that his loved ones are worried about the condition of his mental health and his ability to stay on track amid his recovery journey.
They shared,
“His buddies, these friends he has around him, they are enabling him, and they aren’t being honest with him. He came out of rehab and he immediately started talking about how he had taken ketamine to treat his depression and these people who are always around him didn’t think that was a big deal.”
The insider continued,
“Here is the thing, I don’t think he is mature enough to face reality and face the music. If he doesn’t start taking his issues seriously, he could wind up killing himself from drugs.”
Back in March, Davidson made headlines after crashing his car into a Beverly Hills home. He also reportedly hopped a curb and collided with a fire hydrant during the incident. Reports said law enforcement determined that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident. However, Davidson was ultimately charged with reckless driving and was ordered to complete a few tasks — including 50 hours of community service and enter an 18-month diversion program — in order for the criminal offense not to appear on his record.
