Former Lakers Star Trevor Ariza Agrees To Pay Ex-Wife $10K A Month In Child Support + Both Ordered To Stay 50 Feet Away From Each Other

Former NBA star Trevor Ariza and his ex-wife Bree Anderson have finally reached an agreement in their divorce settlement.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the 38-year-old has agreed to pay his ex $10k monthly in child support. The agreement was reached just months after Bree Anderson demanded $60k per month from the former Lakers player.

Reportedly, Bree Anderson claimed she and Trevor Ariza lived a lavish lifestyle and argued their children should be able to do the same. Meanwhile, the NBA champion said his income dropped after he left the league in 2022. According to his team, Trevor Ariza spent a good chunk of his savings paying legal fees for his divorce.

Despite fighting for more in the settlement, Anderson agreed to the adjusted amount and not to receive spousal support from Ariza.

As part of the deal, the former couple will share joint custody of their two young children. In addition to Ariza’s 5-figure monthly contribution, he will cover all school and medical expenses for their kids. Anderson was reportedly awarded the family home in San Diego, California while Ariza will have the property in Playa Vista, near Los Angeles. Both parties will have until December to vacate the other property.

According to the settlement, Anderson will be awarded one-half interest in Ariza’s retirement accounts with the NBA, which include his 401k and pension plan. They will each keep the cars already in their possession. Furthermore, the settlement noted that the pair will have to pay their own credit card bills. Ariza will also make a one-time payment of $664k.

They agreed not to directly communicate with each other as well. On top of that, they must stay 50 feet away from each other at events for their children and not speak ill about one another.

The legal documents stated,

“The total amount of the equalization payment is a compromise between the Parties and each Party agrees that the equalization payment equitably divides the community assets and debts, and other claims that either Party has or may have against the other in connection with this dissolution of marriage proceeding.”

As previously reported, Anderson was granted a temporary restraining order against Ariza which prohibited him from coming near her. In her request, she accused her former spouse of “extreme” physical abuse during their marriage. She said during one incident he choked her until she was unconscious.

Days after Anderson’s petition, Ariza denied the abuse allegations and filed a restraining order against her, claiming she was the violent one during the relationship. All temporary restraining orders have reportedly been dismissed as part of their agreement.
