Southside Speaks Out Following Backlash From Controversial Funny Marco Interview w/ G Herbo: ‘Stop Being P***y’

Music professional Southside had a few choice words for Funny Marco following their recent interview.

The beatmaker slammed the idea that his appearance on the comedian’s talk series was intimidating and suggested that he only put out the energy he received.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the situation, music producer Southside, real name Joshua Howard Luellen, 34, received a ton of backlash following his interview with Funny Marco, which also featured G Herbo, real name Herbert Randall Wright III, 28. Many felt the musicians made comments about the comedian’s clothes, skin, and status that were wholly uncalled for, while overall displaying arguably rude behavior.

After social media users expressed their disdain for the episode, Funny Marco, real name Marco Summers, 30, released a statement, writing:

“I understand a lot of y’all mad about the interview I was upset while it was going on but I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me I respect people on my show. I didn’t want to match they     Energy it’s so many     L’s I took on my    Journey I wish I could show I don’t hide anything so I feel it was only right to put the episode out myself.    and just learn from that episode & move on. Thank who support me it’s a mindset thing”

The comic further elaborated on the situation in the comments section under the post. In an outtake from the episode, G Herbo can be heard aggressively telling the host to “shut the f**k up,” while Southside appeared to break Marco’s expensive watch, which he confirmed writing in response to one social media user who felt there was no issue with the interview:

“They broke my 30k watch and calling me a b***ch i don’t talk to people like that but this post not for the people like u that don’t really watch me i understand i get fans this post for them”

It seems the media personality’s post-show thoughts left Southside feeling a type of way. Subsequent to Marco’s response about his appearance, the entertainer posted a video to his social media page, stating in a rant:

“That n*gga wasn’t scared, if you was scared I can’t help how yo mamma raised you…This why I stay off this sh*t cause no matter what it is, n***as make me the bad guy,”

Adding:

“Ya’ll n***as stop being p***y…stop throwing rocks and hiding y’all hands…if you a b**ch a** n***a just stay the f**k from around me…I don’t need no more b***ches around me…just stay away from me bro that’s it…You a h**, you ain’t have to put it out h** a** n***a…you a grown a** man it’s no way possible.”

Though it’s unclear which came first, Marco did post one more follow-up message to his Instagram story, writing:

“It’s nothing but respect to both them we both learn love and move on”

It does not appear G Herbo has reacted to his appearance on the podcast at this time.
