‘Teen Mom’ Star Jenelle Evans’ Son Jace Hospitalized Following Latest Runaway Attempt, Teen To Be Placed In Foster Care

Sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

14-year-old Jace, son of former MTV reality TV star Jenelle Evans, is seemingly having a hard time right now. As we’ve extensively covered, Jace ran away from his mother’s care several times this year. In October, problems surrounding Jace escalated as claims surfaced that his stepdad, David Eason, was being abusive. Allegedly, one of Jace’s runaway attempts stemmed from a physical dispute with Eason. Following the incident, Jenelle Evans and her spouse were reportedly placed under investigation due to the concerning amount of times Jace tried to flee. The teen was then placed (back) in the care of his grandmother, Barbara Evans, who raised him for most of his life.

Unfortunately, moving back in with Barbara Evans didn’t help much, and Jace, once again, tried to run away. According to new reports, Jace’s latest disappearing act resulted in him being hospitalized. Reports claim on Saturday (Nov. 18) Jace disappeared from Barbara Evans’ home and wasn’t found until around 11:45 p.m. the following day. At this time, it’s unclear why Jace was hospitalized but, CPS will reportedly be placing him in foster care following his discharge.

Jace’s latest runaway incident allegedly centered around an argument over his cell phone. Despite being advised not to do so, Barbara Evans reportedly decided to give Jace a phone. According to reports, Jace was caught vaping on school grounds and his grandmother confiscated his cell when she was made aware of his actions. After the device was taken, Jace fled Barbara’s home, ultimately leading to CPS’ decision to place him in foster care.

Reportedly, there’s a chance Jace will be sent to a juvenile detention facility if he continues to get in trouble. At this time, it doesn’t seem that Jenelle Evans has spoken about her son’s situation, but she’s seemingly not losing sleep over the issue. The “Teen Mom” alum recently spent time having fun in the sun with her husband. She shared a glimpse of their special moment online by posting a picture of Eason on a boat to her IG Stories.
