NBA YoungBoy’s Fans Share Words Of Encouragement For Rapper After He Uploads Concerning Picture Of Himself Surrounded By Pills: ‘Don’t Let The Darkness Swallow You Up’

Fans of the 24-year-old have been trying to uplift his spirit after the musician posted a concerning image to his social media page.

The aforementioned photo in question shows NBA YoungBoy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, lying on the floor next to a bunch of unidentified loose pills and a cup with an unidentified substance inside. As a caption to this post, the “Lonely Child” artist wrote:

“& that’s why I don’t pick up my phone when it ring”

At this time the musician hasn’t shared any further explanation behind the image. However, that didn’t stop his fans from sending some heartfelt thoughts and messages of support. Commenters took to YoungBoy’s post sharing their love for him as well as encouraging him to reach out to someone if he feels like he needs help.

It’s unclear what exactly may have triggered the post, but YoungBoy has opened up about his struggles with depression in the past. As we covered back in November, reports claimed that the Louisiana native had undergone weight loss as he struggled to maintain his mental health during his house arrest. If you recall, the rap star was restricted to his home following a 2021 gun charge and has also not been allowed visitors who aren’t pre-approved by a court judge.

More recently, YoungBoy opened up about not being particularly happy about fathering 11 children, one of whom he shares with Floyd Mayweather’s daughter Yaya. After being asked his thoughts on fatherhood during a recent interview, he stated:

“Not really big on it to be honest”

Adding:

 “It’s a crazy topic cause I’m not the type to sugarcoat nothing.” 

The rapper once again mentioned his frustrations about being cooped up in his home over the past year during the conversation, suggesting it’s affecting his relationship with his children.
