Cardi B Says ‘I Don’t Play That Sh*t’ After She ‘Ran Into Somebody’ At Vanity Fair Oscars Party & Fans Are Convinced She’s Talking About Saweetie

Cardi B fans believe there may be beef brewing between her and Saweetie.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper answered a phone call while on Instagram Live. During the conversation, Cardi B said, “I definitely ran into somebody” at Sunday’s Vanity Fair Oscars party (March 10).

Before she got off the phone, she added, 

“You know me, I don’t play that sh*t. But I’ll call you later ’cause I’m on Live. I’ll tell you all the tea on her later. Bye.”

While she didn’t mention who the “somebody” was, many fans speculated it was fellow rapper Saweetie, who was also at the star-studded event, due to recent speculation about the “ICY GRL” rapper having an affair with Cardi B’s husband and father of her two kids, rapper Offset.

The internet has speculated that Offset cheated with Saweetie following her breakup with Quavo in March 2021. In his song “Messy,” Quavo appeared to fuel the rumors when he rapped about a woman cheating on him with a close friend.

Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, remained quiet about Offset’s alleged infidelity until her appearance on “The Jason Lee Show” in 2023 when she revealed why she chose not to address the topic publicly.

“I was quiet because one thing I’m gonna do, I’m gonna find out the truth. And you know that I was finding out that truth in and out.”

Cardi B said she ultimately decided “not to entertain the bullsh*t” and refrained from taking it to social media as she has done in the past. 

She added, 

“If I entertain it, it’s gonna keep going longer and longer and longer. At the end of the day, I know what’s going on in my house.”
