Drake Officially Releases Kendrick Lamar Diss ‘Push Ups’ Amid Previous Speculation That It Was An AI Song
Update (April 19, 2024): Drake has officially dropped his response to fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. Days after a TikToker alleged he was the one who created Drake’s rap, the Canadian lyricist released the song, “Push Ups” himself on Friday (April 19).

The song art featured a shoe tag from a box that said the US size is a 7, a nod Drake’s lyric,
“How the f*ck you big steppin’ with a size 7 mens on?”

Fans were quick to share their thoughts about the move, causing a stir to say the least on X (formerly Twitter).

Original Story (April 17, 2024): Contrary to popular belief, Kendrick Lamar has yet to respond to Drake.
As we’ve been covering, the rappers are currently involved in a brewing beef that has many on the edge of their seats as they wait for what’s next. The last person to fire off a shot was apparently Drake in a leaked song where he raps,
“How the fuck you big steppin with a size 7 mens on?”
He adds
“Your last one bricked, you really not on sh*t / They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit / Pull your contract ’cause we gotta see the split / Ain’t no way you doin’ splits b*tch your pants might rip.”
Initially, when the tune surfaced online, many thought it was A.I.-generated as Drake never directly spoke on the record. However, after multiple hip hop podcast hosts alluded to the track being legit, the public turned their attention to Kendrick Lamar for a response. On Monday (Apr. 15) a song that features a voice eerily familiar to the Compton native appeared online but some were skeptical to believe it actually came from K-Dot.

Seems like the naysayers were smart to doubt the source of the diss as a TikToker has come forward, claiming he’s behind the track. A man who goes by the name Sy The Rapper said,
“I ain’t gon’ lie. I shocked myself. I thought it was gon’ sound fake. I thought people was gon’ be able to tell it was fake. People think it’s actually real, so I just wanna come out for the record and say that it’s A.I.”
Sy The Rapper added,
“That’s not Kendrick’s response. I know Kendrick gon’ come harder than that. I just couldn’t get too disrespectful, ’cause I ain’t in the beef. Ain’t nobody dissed me.”
