Bravo Presses Pause On ‘Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard’ + Cast Member Bria Fleming Reacts To ‘Disappointing’ News
Bravo has announced a hiatus for Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard after two successful seasons.
While the show hasn’t been officially canceled, there’s no confirmation yet about a third season for this year, breaking its two-year consecutive run, as reported by Deadline.
After fans and several cast members prompted a social media campaign for a reunion, the second season concluded on May 26 with a sit-down hosted by Andy Cohen. During the special, cast members Nick Arrington, Jasmine Cooper, Jordan Emanuel, Bria Fleming, Shanice Henderson, Amir Lancaster, Preston Mitchum, Summer Thomas, Alex Tyree, and Noelle Hughly attempted to resolve ongoing issues from the previous two seasons.
While the original Summer House is set in the Hamptons and showcases New York City professionals spending their summer weekends partying in a rented home, its spinoff, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, highlighted the lives of young Black professionals vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, an island renowned as one of the first African American-friendly beach destinations.

Bria Fleming, a breakout star from the show, expressed her disappointment about the series being paused via her IG Story, stating,
“Yes, the rumors are true. Our show, Summer House Martha’s Vineyard, has been put on pause. While it is disappointing to see this happen, we believe it will inspire us to explore new directions in our careers, personal lives, and businesses.”

This isn’t the only Bravo reality series facing a pause. Earlier this year, Bravo also decided to halt production on Winter House, a series that brings together cast members from various Bravo shows like Summer House, Vanderpump Rules, and Below Deck for a winter getaway. Additionally, the network has postponed production on the next season of Vanderpump Rules following the “Scandoval” controversy, which notably contributed to record-breaking ratings for the network.
Meanwhile, the original Summer House series continues to thrive, with Season 9 already slated to return as ratings prove to be more solid than its successor.
