Megan Thee Stallion Appears To Address Beef w/Nicki Minaj &a Former Friend Kelsey Nicole On New Album: I’m a motherf*ckin’ brat, not a Barbie

Rap star Megan Thee Stallion sounded off on a few of her haters on her latest album.

Internet users have been dissecting songs from the self-titled project, speculating that her feuds with Nicki Minaj and Kelsey Nicole were the subject of a couple of records.

Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, dropped her highly anticipated third studio album earlier today (June 28th). Fans have been speculating whether or not the Houston native would respond to her rap rival Nicki Minaj following their back and forth from earlier this year, and many seem to believe that she did. On the song “Figueroa”, Megan Thee Stallion raps:

“I’m a motherf*ckin’ brat, not a Barbie / On go with any b*tch that wanna start it.” 

The line seems like an obvious nod to Nicki Minaj, real name Onika Tanya Miraj, who’s become synonymous with the Barbie monicker over the years. On the record, “Rattle”, however, Megan’s address wasn’t as clear. The rapper spit a fews scathing bars that many feel could be aimed at Minaj or her former BFF Kelsey Nicole, or possibly even both. She raps:

“I wanted everybody right here with me, but that was my fault being too friendly / I was thinking everything was all good, but the whole time you was my enemy,”

She continued:

“Only time y’all n****s in agreement is when all y’all tryna go against me / Only time y’all weak h**s link up is when another b*tch tryna get rid of me…”D**n b*tch its been four years / Worry ’bout your man and your kid / Your life must be boring as f*ck if you’re still reminiscin’ ’bout sh*t we did.” 

As you may recall, Megan shares a sorted history with both Minaj and Kelsey Nicole. After releasing her album’s lead single “Hiss” earlier this year, Megan found herself in a rap beef with Minaj after making a not so subtle diss to her husband Kenneth Petty’s haunting 1994 sex offender conviction.

The two had a budding friendship following the 2019 release of of their “Hot Girl Summer” collab, but rising media tensions seems to have soured the relationship over time. Minaj responded to Megan’s diss with a response record titled “Big Foot”, where she accused Megan of sleeping with jailed rapper Tory Lanez while he was allegedly dating her then-bestie Kelsey Nicole. If you recall, Lanez made similar accusations prior to being convicted of three felony charges for shooting Megan in the foot back in 2020. While Kelsey never confirmed the story was true, she and Megan did begin to fall-out publicly, making it clear that they were no longer friends.

Minaj went on to claim on the song that she personally confirmed with Kelsey the story about Tory cheating on her with Megan, which could make them both targets on the rapper’s new album. However, it does not appear Minaj nor Kelsey have reacted publicly at this time.
