Swae Lee Urges Fans ‘Do Not Vote For Kamala!’, Gets Into Heated Exchange w/ Social Media User Who Brings Up His Ex’s Abuse Claims

Swae Lee is catching heat for his political views.

The Rae Sremmurd rapper, 31, urged fans not to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in a series of tweets posted on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend. Kamala Harris announced her bid for President of the U.S. earlier this month, after President Joe Biden announced he was exiting the race.

Sharing his stance, Swae Lee first wrote,

He later alleged that she isn’t for Black people.

“The money we sent away every American citizen could’ve got minimal 200 grand think about that but I guess we don’t need the s— ????? and yall standing for Kamala. My black people she don’t do nothing but sign off on things against yall ….(us) voting just cuz you think she’s black is not going to end in your favor”

It didn’t take long for his past to come up, as one social media user, mentioned his ex-girlfriend Marliesia Ortiz’s accusations that he physically abused her.

Swae Lee denied the claims and called anyone who believed them “dumb as hell,” alleging that he and his former girlfriend “were both confused.” He wrote,

“Y’all dumb as hell if you believe this I would never ! me and marlie were both confused that’s the homie . that’s why you gone be a Waffle House master for life tryna tear me down For speaking my opinion ??yall are too gullable”

That didn’t stop the social media user from taking things further, alleging she would, “expose more of what I know.”

Still, as of Sunday night (July 29), Swae Lee seemed unbothered by her warning and wrote,

“Shut yo ass up you can’t pull up sh*t from my past but platinum plaques cap ass you lame sss hell and I want a public apology from you after this”
