Robert Griffin III Reacts To Getting Fired From ESPN w/ Hilarious ‘Friday’ Scene
Did Robert Griffin III get fired on his day off?
Robert Griffin III had a hilarious response to being let go from ESPN.
The network terminated both “Sunday NFL Countdown” hosts Samantha Ponder and analyst Robert Griffin III.
According to a source briefed on the matter, the decisions were made for financial reasons as ESPN nears the conclusion of its fiscal year at the end of September. Griffin III will be paid out for the two years he had left on his contract, which reportedly had a salary of over $1 million per year.
Samantha Ponder and RGIII were informed of ESPN’s decision Thursday morning, a source briefed on the decision said.
Meanwhile, RGIII is finding the humor in being fired as he posted a clip from the film Friday where John Weatherspoon’s character questions Craig (played by Ice Cube) about getting fired on his day off.
