UPDATE: Beyoncé Officially Releases New Whiskey Brand, Paying Homage To Her Great-Grandfather: ‘You Can Taste It Better Than I Could Ever Tell You’
Update: Beyoncé’s new whiskey brand is officially on the market! The multi-hyphenate dropped her latest venture, SirDavis, on Tuesday (Aug. 20).
She teased the new product on her Instagram page, which included a photo of her holding a glass. She captioned it,
“DAVIS IN MY BONES SIRDAVIS.COM”

On its website, SirDavis is described as “the future of whiskey” that is “revered by many” and “recognized by industry experts, tastemakers and whiskey enthusiasts alike.”
It looks like the brand has already been secretly making its rounds, as it was recognized at last year’s Sip Awards with a Platinum: Best in Class, and Platinum: American Rye Whiskey honor. It also received 93 points, an “excellent” rating at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2023.
She also provided a set of recipes like Honey Bee, Brown Derby and of course nods to her hometown with Texas Buckin’ and The Houston.
Describing the inspiration, Beyoncé said it’s named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a farmer and moonshiner in the South during the Prohibition era.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling. When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy. In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis.”
Original Story: Beyoncé stays in her bag!
The first images of her rumored whiskey brand, SirDavis, have officially hit the internet.
Numerous Beyoncé fan pages shared the images and an official social media page has been created for the new beverage. It’s unclear when the whiskey will officially be released, and Beyoncè has not confirmed that she’s dropping the product. But if she is, we know a teaser is on the way.
