Jools Lebron, TikToker Who Popularized ‘Very Demure,’ Bounces Back From Depressive Episode After Phrase Is Trademarked By Someone Else
Jools Lebron has bounced back from a weekend of depression in a “very demure” manner.
Jools Lebron, the TikTok creator behind the viral phrase “very demure, very mindful,” recently shared how she emerged from a weekend of depression in a new video:
“You see how I come out of my weekend depression? Very demure, very mindful. I don’t do ‘let’s make a lot of posts.’ I do very simple. I cry in front of 4 million people. I wake up from a 3-day nap. I have a good cookie. I drink a little water. I add my little jush. I watch my little YouTubes. And I come back.”
Jools Lebron emphasized her approach to handling brief periods of depression, adding:
“I don’t let it keep me down for 4, 5, 6, or 7 months at a time. Only 3 days. Only a little bit. I only do a little depression. I don’t do a lot of depression like you girls.”

This uplifting message follows an earlier post where Lebron expressed her frustration and sadness after discovering that someone else had filed a trademark for her popular phrase. In that post, she was seen crying and shared her feelings about the trademark issue:
“This merch situation is really f****** me up. I just invested so much money and time into this, and I feel like I did it wrong. I feel like I didn’t try hard enough.”
She continued:
“I wanted this to do so much for my family… I just feel like I dropped the ball. I feel like I f***** up and like someone else has it now. I don’t even know what I could’ve done better because I didn’t have the resources.”
Jools LeBron, the creator who popularized “demure,” shares she’s unable to launch merch because her viral phrase was already trademarked:

Jefferson Bates, a Washington State resident, filed the trademark for “Very Demure, Very Mindful” for services related to advertising and promotional activities.

Additionally, Kassandra Pop has filed for “Very Demure, Very Cutesy” for advertising services.

Despite the setback, Lebron’s viral videos, which popularized the phrase, have garnered nearly 47 million views. She has gained over 2 million TikTok followers, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and even received praise from Netflix, who called her “the MOMENT.”
