Kanye West — Kentucky Woman Caught Trying To Steal Car w/ Child Inside Alleges Rapper ‘Telegraphically’ Told Her To Do It

A woman is blaming Kanye West after she was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a car with a child inside.

Police in Evansville, Ind., where the incident occurred, said in an affidavit that Ricki Smith, 28, was trying to get into multiple cars in a parking lot outside of a business on Main Street on Friday morning (Aug. 30).

A witness who works nearby alleged that Ricki Smith ultimately found a car that was unlocked and hopped into the driver’s seat. He said he told her to get out and Ricki Smith then jumped into a second vehicle after that driver, a woman, headed into the store.

The man said he tried to pull Smith out of the car, however, it was difficult because she was still holding shift gear. That’s when the woman ran back to her car and started pulling Smith’s hair.

The woman later told police that she was taking her child to daycare and had to stop at the store. She left her car door unlocked and started to cross the street when she saw Smith getting into her vehicle.

The woman, who has not been publicly identified, said she wanted to press charges against Smith because her child was still in the car when Smith allegedly tried to take it.

Smith told police she was heading to Evansville from Louisville, Ky. when her car broke down so she hitch hiked to her destination. Police later found out that she actually crashed her car into a tree line on Highway 64.

As for why she tried to allegedly take the vehicle, she claimed she speaks to Kanye West “telegraphically”and he instructed her to do it.

Smith was booked at Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with Attempted Kidnapping and Attempted Auto Theft. Her mugshot has not been released as of publication.
