Traci Braxton’s husband is speaking out.

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, theJasmineBRAND exclusively posted footage of the late singer and reality star’s husband Kevin Surratt Sr. and son Kevin Surratt Jr. having a physical altercation.

The moment came amid heated family drama on WeTV’s The Braxtons.

Kevin Surratt Jr. hopped on Instagram shortly after theJasmineBRAND’s video was posted and addressed the footage.

He said the video showed a “disagreement” between him and Kevin Surratt Jr. and was captured by someone who wanted to “gain notoriety” and defame his character.

“During this exchange, some disrespectful remarks were made. As a father, I felt it was important to address the situation firmly and in the moment.”

He clarified that “no physical altercations occurred” and pointed out that it happened “some time ago and is being made to seem recent.”

Calling the situation “disheartening,” and “used to create division and mock our relationship. It feels like yet another instance of personal family disputes being exploited for attention. My priority is protect the integrity of my family in a constructive way.”

He added that he wants to “minimize the emotional impact” his family is experiencing after Traci Braxton’s death. See his full message below.
