The county’s DA Greg Edwards emphasized the seriousness of the case, stating:
“We must protect the integrity of both our educators and our children. The way that a community protects its senior citizens, its disabled persons and its children— is reflective of the character of the community.”
Cobb-Williams gained major popularity online following the release of a viral 2020 rap video she did with another teacher titled “What’s Popping.”
If found guilty, Cobb-Williams faces up to 10 years behind bars for each count.
