Three Men Indicted By Grand Jury For The Shooting Death Of Ahmaud Arbery
Three men accused of being involved in the February 23 shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery were indicted on Wednesday (June 24) by a grand jury. Glynn County, Ga’s grand jury has indicted Greg McMichael, his son Travis McMichael, and William R. Bryan on charges of malice and felony murder. The charges also include aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.
The indictment comes as Black Lives Matter protests have erupted across the country and the world amidst the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd. There has also been demands to abolish and revise police departments across America due to the multiple instances of police brutality over the years against unarmed civilians.

Earlier this month we also reported that during a preliminary hearing for the Ahmaud Arbery case, GBI Special Agent Richard Dial made a statement under oath stating,
“Yes, um, Mr. Bryan said that after the shooting took place, before police arrival, while Mr. Arbery was on the ground, that he heard Travis McMichael make the statement ‘f*cking n*gger’”.

Travis McMichael, 34, Greg McMichael, 64, and William “Roddie” Bryan, Jr., 50, have been arrested in the murder that was caught on videotape of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery being chased down in a South Georgia neighborhood.
For months, no arrests had been made until an article written in the New York Times and the video was leaked by a lawyer who reportedly consulted with the suspects, incited a lot of attention and outrage from the public.
The third suspect, William “Roddie” Bryan, was the one reportedly recording the video and had made several public attempts to clear himself of any wrongdoing. He also was subsequently arrested for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
