President Joe Biden Clarifies ‘Garbage’ Remark, Calls Trump Rally Rhetoric Unconscionable’
President Joe Biden is speaking out to clear up his recent comment about Donald Trump supporters after a controversial rally at Madison Square Garden.
During a recent news appearance, Joe Biden didn’t hold back, stating,
“The only garbage I see floating out there are his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable.”
His remark, which some claim was aimed at all Donald Trump supporters, quickly sparked backlash, prompting him to clarify on X (formerly Twitter).
Joe Biden posted,
“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”

This comes on the heels of Trump’s MSG rally that many criticized for divisive comments, including comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s jab calling #PuertoRico an “island of garbage.”
