Rotimi Credits Jay-Z For Sparking His Acting Career
Rotimi says Jay-Z is the one to thank for him having an acting career.
The Power alum stopped by TMZ’s podcast and recalled the days he was in a group NBH with Jay-Z’s nephews. He says the fellow artist and entrepreneur was a harsh but necessary critic when it came to them getting their steps together. Rotimi says Jay-Z even urged him to pretend he was his future self, performing 10 years later, which sparked a new level of creativity for the “In My Bed” crooner.
He revealed it was at that point he felt like an actor, and thanks Jay-Z for the revelation. Along with Power, he’s appeared in shows like The Chi and Boss.
