Jaleel White Turned Down ‘Family Matters’ Reboot’ Because ‘It Didn’t Feel Right’
Jaleel White turned down a Family Matters reboot about 10 years ago, because he didn’t want to be too similar to Full House’s reboot Fuller House, saying that “it didn’t feel right.”
He instead pitched his own life story as a concept but was turned down by a producer who told him no one was interested. Jaleel White is now promoting his new memoir Growing Up Urkel, published by Simon & Schuster. It’s scheduled to be released on Nov. 19.
