Jordan Chiles Speaks Out On Efforts To Get Her Olympic Bronze Medal Back: ‘We Did Everything Right’
Jordan Chiles is not backing down in her campaign to reclaim the bronze medal she earned at the Paris Olympics.
After initially securing the bronze in the women’s floor exercise, Chiles’ victory was short-lived. The medal was stripped following a challenge by Romania, which claimed that Chiles’ request to contest a scoring issue came four seconds too late. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) sided with Romania, moving the bronze to Ana Barbosu instead.
Appearing on the Today Show, Chiles spoke passionately about the decision and her ongoing fight to have the medal returned. She said,
“We didn’t do anything wrong. Everything was very right. Everything was in the time that it needed to be, and for them to come back and say it was four seconds late… we had proof… I know what the truth is, and I know that we were right in everything that we were doing.”

Chiles continues to push for the recognition she believes she deserves by filing a second appeal with the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland.
