Ryan Reynolds has strong opinions about the Oscars and believes one major injustice has been overlooked for years.
While reflecting on his own Hollywood success, Reynolds took a moment to highlight what he considers one of the biggest snubs in Academy Award history: Eddie Murphy’s role in The Nutty Professor. Speaking on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Reynolds said,
“One of the greatest, most greatest injustices is that Eddie Murphy doesn’t have an Oscar for ‘The Nutty Professor.’”

Reynolds wasn’t just making an offhand comment; he truly believes Murphy’s performance in The Nutty Professor deserved more recognition. He added,
“He’s done so much over the years, but ‘The Nutty Professor’ was a game-changer.”
