Sting Has No Plans On Canceling Diddy’s ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ Over Record Exec’s Growing Legal Troubles
Seems like English musician and actor Sting wants to separate the artist from the art.
During a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Sting was asked about potentially canceling Diddy’s “I’ll Be Missing You” record. For those unaware, the 1998 hit dedicated to the late Biggie Smalls samples “Every Breath You Take,” from Sting and his former group, The Police.

Despite the controversy surrounding Diddy, Sting has no plans to speak out against the popular song. He expressed,
“I don’t know what went on [with Diddy] … But it doesn’t taint the song at all for me. It’s still my song.”
As reported, Diddy is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He’s facing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
