Denzel Washington Says Americans Are Being ‘Manipulated By Both Sides’ In Politics
Oscar winning actor Denzel Washington is sharing his thoughts about politics in America today.
The 69-year-old was interviewed by The Sunday Times recently and asked about the contentious presidential election that saw Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris, stating:
“You know, it’s so easy to stand outside America and say this and that…But listen…It’s all politics.”
He continued:
“All promises unkept. And now with the information age the way it is — if anything — left, right, whatever had better learn how to use those tools to manipulate the people.”
Speaking to growing concerns about disinformation being spread online, Washington furthered:
“We’re all slaves to information now. We really are. We’re all slaves. So whatever you feel about the leaders, like this guy’s crazy or the other one is sane, you’d better realize you’re being manipulated by both sides. Period…Yeah. So go to the movies.”
Do you agree with Denzel’s thoughts on politics?
