Sad news! Karen Huger’s assistant and friend Matt Byars has passed away.
RHOP star Charrisse Jordan announced the news on her Instagram Story on Thursday (Nov. 21). She posted a photo of her and Matt Byars with the caption, “Rest in peace.”

Matt Byars appeared alongside Karen Huger in several episodes of RHOP. He was introduced in season 3 when Karen Huger held a press conference with the cast to address reports of her and her husband Ray Huger’s million-dollar tax debt.
Karen hasn’t spoken out about the loss yet. It’s unclear if Matt was still her assistant.
