Jordan Neely’s Father Reportedly Cursed In Anger & Escorted Out Court After Daniel Penny Was Acquitted In Subway Chokehold De*th Of His Son
Daniel Penny has been acquitted of criminally negligent homic*de in the de*th of Jordan Neely.
After over 24 hours of deliberations, the jury reached a verdict, which reportedly sparked a mix of cheers and anger in the courtroom. Neely’s father allegedly cursed in anger before being removed by officers.
Penny was charged after placing Neely in a chokehold on a subway train in May 2023. While prosecutors argued Penny’s actions led to Neely’s de*th, the defense claimed Penny acted in self-defense, fearing Neely posed a threat to others due to his “volatile” remarks and gestures.
