John Amos’ Daughter Shannon Hires Lawyer To Investigate Circumstances Surrounding His Hospitalization & De@th
John Amos’ daughter is not letting up on her suspicions of foul play surrounding her late father’s passing and hospitalization.
Reports say Shannon Amos has officially hired a lawyer to investigate the Good Times actor’s de@th, months after she first raised concerns about her father being a victim of elder abuse and mistreatment.
As reported, John passed away in October. Since then, Shannon, who co-trustees his estate, has attempted to find answers to questions about the date of his admission to Centinela Hospital, why someone other than his son, Kelly Christopher Amos, dropped him off, and why hospital records have not been provided despite multiple requests.

Shannon also wants to know whether there was an investigation into potential elder abuse after she filed a complaint in February 2024, and if the Los Angeles Police Department actually looked into the circumstances of his de@th.
Prior to his passing, John and his son, K.C., denied Shannon’s allegations of elder abuse, calling them “false and unmerited.” The actor referred to his son as “a caring, thoughtful human being who respects me.” After a reported investigation into the elder abuse claims, the LAPD labeled the entire situation as a family dispute.
Now, Shannon has taken matters into her own hands, hiring attorney James H. Davis III to uncover the answers to her questions that remain unresolved.
