Teen Arrested After Killing Rival’s Pet Goat w/ Pesticides
A Texas teen, Aubrey Vanlandingham, 17, is charged with felony cruelty to livestock after allegedly killing a classmate’s show goat, Willie, by force-feeding it pesticide at a high school barn in Cedar Park.
An arrest affidavit claims Vanlandingham used a drench gun to administer the pesticide, recorded the act, and sent the video to the goat’s owner. The goat died the next day from pesticide intoxication, confirmed by a necropsy, after showing severe respiratory distress.
Authorities allege Vanlandingham confessed, claiming she acted out of resentment toward the owner’s daughter. Police also found internet searches on her phone about poisoning animals and clearing search history.
Released on a $5,000 bond, Vanlandingham is due in court on Jan. 15. Her attorney has not commented.
