Update: (Jan 1, 2025): Burna Boy is defending himself amid backlash for walking off the stage after a concert-goer bum rushed his set.
In a statement shared to his socials, the Nigerian singer addressed those who felt he was wrong for leaving because people paid to see him.
“It was a free show. I was supposed to do 10mins and did almost an hour”

He continued, explaining jumping on stage with him is something he doesn’t take lightly,
“Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing. I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night.”
Concluding the statement, he added,
“Don’t jump on my stage like that! I got PTSD. I love you all. Happy new year.”
