Jamie Foxx Says His Nurse Believed He Only Had A 5% Chance Of Survival After Medical Emergency
Jamie Foxx is sharing more about his health scare that occurred in 2023.
As reported, in April of that year news broke that Jamie was hospitalized due to an unspecified medical emergency. However, it was alleged that the extended hospital stay was caused by a stroke, and in his recently released Netflix comedy special, Jamie confirmed the rumor was true.
Yesterday (Jan. 5) while on the red carpet for the Golden Globes, Jamie addressed the incident again with Variety and revealed that his nurse called him “a five-percenter,” noting that less than 5% of people who battled the same brain bleed and stroke live to see another day.

He also shared that he thanked the nurse for treating him well due to what he believed was his celebrity status and she told him he’s “not special” and she treats all her patients with care. He said the woman added,
“Right now you’re a patient and I got to get you right.”
Have you seen Jamie’s comedy special What Had Happened Was… on Netflix? If so, what are your thoughts?
