Scott Disick Says He Talks Openly About His Past Alcohol Struggles w/ 15-Year-Old Son Mason
Scott Disick recently got candid with Khloé Kardashian, admitting that he has honest conversations with his 15-year-old son, Mason, about his past struggles with alcohol abuse.
During the premiere episode of Khloé’s new podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, the Good American founder asked Scott if he would allow the three children he shares with her sister Kourtney Kardashian to watch him on their family’s former reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in the future.
While Scott initially said he’d be okay with it, given that his kids live in a “cute” reality where they can see themselves and their families grow up on TV, he quickly expressed concern over them seeing his past “bad boy” behavior, which included things like “sticking hundred-dollar bills down waiters’ throats and yelling at people,” as Khloé noted. In response, Scott shared:
“I don’t want them to see that. But the truth is, I do explain to Mason how drinking affected me and how badly it put me in certain places.”
He continued:
“And he knows that. For a while, he thought I was going to treat him differently because of that… I told him, ‘I’m not treating you any differently because of my mistakes or how I lived. But if I see a problem with alcohol with you, I will take action.'”

Scott acknowledged that he understands his son will try drinking at some point and expressed his intention to intervene if he sees “a problem that might be hereditary.”
He added,
“But until then, you’re treated like every other kid.”
Do you agree with Scott’s honest approach when it comes to speaking with his teenage son about his past drinking struggles?
