French Woman Loses $850K In Fake Brad Pitt Romance Scam
A French woman’s online romance with “Brad Pitt” turned into a nightmare when she lost $850K in a scam.
According to TMZ, the con began on Facebook in 2023 when the scammer, posing as Brad Pitt, slid into 53-year-old Anne’s DMs. Their relationship quickly escalated, with the imposter urging Anne to leave her millionaire husband, while claiming he was tied up in a divorce with Angelina Jolie.

As the romance continued, the scammer requested money for cancer treatment, sending fake hospital bed photos to make the plea convincing. Believing she was truly in a relationship with Pitt, Anne sent a large portion of her divorce settlement to the fraudster after leaving her husband for the supposed movie star.
Anne only realized the truth when she saw a photo of the real Brad Pitt with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. She filed a complaint in 2024 and is now receiving treatment for depression, while authorities continue their search for the scammer.
This isn’t the first time fake Brad Pitt photos have been used in scams. Last year, we reported that two women in Spain were duped out of $350K by scammers posing as the actor.
Ladies, be careful!
