Usher Shares Advice To Kendrick Lamar Ahead Of His Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance: ‘Savor The Moment’
Usher is dropping gems for Kendrick Lamar ahead of his highly anticipated Super Bowl LIX halftime show!
Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier today, (Feb. 4), the R&B icon reflected on his own experience headlining last year’s show and shared some wisdom for this year’s performer. Usher said,
“The one thing I would say is savor the moment ‘cause you get obsessed in trying to build the best performance but you don’t realize that it’s really about enjoying it.”
He emphasized that while things may not go exactly as planned, being present is what truly matters. Adding:
“If you are in your mind and like stuck trying to make something perfect, you’re not going to look up and smell the flowers.”

Usher also praised Kendrick for his artistry, saying,
“There’s a lot to be said for that young man and how he’s completely been an incredible benchmark for what it is to be an artist.”
Fresh off winning five Grammys for his No. 1 hit “Not Like Us,” including record of the year and song of the year, and the release of his sixth studio album GNX in November 2024—plus with SZA set to join him on stage—Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime show is already shaping up to be one for the books!
Catch Super Bowl LIX live on Feb. 9, 2025, on FOX.
