Ja Rule, one of Murder Inc.’s most successful artists, reacted to the devastating news by posting a heartbreak emoji on X. Fellow label alum Vita shared, “Rest in power.”
The Game reflected on a personal memory, writing,
“1st time I ever went to a big studio, you came to my baby mama’s house n picked me up… You told me I was what the West Coast needed but I was better off wit Dre & you was right. Thank you for your contribution to hip hop homie. Fly high.”
Record executive Russell Simmons described Irv Gotti as “a beautiful soul, but gone too soon,” while Fat Joe praised his creative genius, writing, “
