Russell Brand has denied recent charges against him, including rape and sexual assault, claiming his past struggles with drug and sex addiction are the only truth behind the accusations.
In a video posted on his Twitter account, Russell Brand addressed the allegations, emphasizing that while he was a “fool” before meeting his wife, he never engaged in nonconsensual acts.
He asserted his innocence, stating that the charges are part of a weaponized legal system. Russell Brand thanked his supporters and plugged his Rumble show, set to air its next episode on Monday. A court appearance is scheduled for May 2.
