Stephen A. Smith Is ‘Leaving All Doors Open’ As He Considers Running For President In 2028
Stephen A. Smith says he’s now open to a 2028 presidential run after weeks of political pressure.
“Over the last few weeks, I’ve had no choice but to get more serious about it,” he said at the NAB Show. “I’ve been approached by people on Capitol Hill… governors, mayors.”
Though Stephen A. Smith once insisted, “I have no desire to do it,” and called politicians “professional beggars,” he added, “I’m going to entertain the possibility.”
If he runs, Stephen A. Smith said he’d aim to “eat [other candidates] alive” and only run if he believed he could win.
On Twitter, he reposted an article about the subject and stated: “Time to stop messing around. Life is great. Especially at ESPN/Disney. Hate the thought of being a politician. But sick of this mess. So I’m officially leaving all doors open.”
Would you like to see Stephen run for office?
